Round two of our electrical lecture this morning, luckily followed by Phil's class on Earthship Biotecture humanitarian and disaster relief projects. The latter was incredibly inspiring; apparently Mike Reynolds (founder of Earthship Biotecture) takes out personal loans when the company heads overseas to help out in disaster-stricken areas. This immense cost is only partially subsidized by donations from the public.

We were back at Deborah's site this afternoon, but in a different capacity. This time, the task was to create can walls. Despite a kind compliment from a classmate, this was not something I felt I excelled in. My can wall was not plum and actually awkwardly staggered inward. Our on-site manager Rory came by, called it out, and helped to re-set it. Oops. I suppose that's how we learn. I do not have a good eye for what's "straight"...I can crease cans for days, though!

After my can wall blunder, I was ready to head back to the Espresso Bar to chill and do some more writing. This time I forewent the flight and ordered my favorite flavor of the five--their special cold brew Black Tie coffee. It's a divine concoction of espresso, tea, spices, condensed milk, and cream.
